Te Ao Māori
The Māori Language and it's Customs

Develop confidence engaging with Māori language, values, and practices in everyday business interactions.

Strengthen cultural understanding in the workplace

These two half-day workshops will immerse you in Māori language pronunciation and tikanga. You will learn some basic conversation, vocabulary, and introductory grammar. Greetings and farewells, mihimihi and poroporokai are also a core component of this course. You will also learn how to construct your pēpēha. Finally, the course covers effective strategies for engagement with Māori business and Māturanga Māori.

Members: $1,195 (+GST)
Non-members: $1,550 (+GST)

Workbook, arrival tea or coffee, and morning tea. 

Key audience

This course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who would like to upskill in Māori language pronunciation and tikanga. It would be especially useful for businesses that engage with Māori stakeholders who would like to build more seamless and respectful relationships.
