Due to the popularity of our in‑person HR Connect events across the regions, we’re pleased to now offer an online option, so no one misses out.
HR Connect is a new online forum designed to bring HR and people leaders together to learn, share insights, and stay connected — wherever they’re based.
This 90‑minute session is practical and focused, grounded in what’s really happening in New Zealand workplaces right now. It’s an opportunity to step out of day‑to‑day delivery, hear from experienced practitioners, and gain timely insights you can apply in your organisation.
Session Overview
Our first HR Connect (Online) session will explore the latest findings from the Best Places to Work Employee Experience Insights Report, alongside practical reflections from senior HR consultant Chris Longman.
The format is presentation-led with Q&A — focused on insight, reflection, and what HR leaders should be paying attention to right now.
Speakers
Chris Longman – Facilitator
Chris Longman brings over 18 years’ experience working across human resource management in both the public and private sectors. Since 2017, he has worked as a consultant, supporting organisations to navigate complex people and workplace challenges with a strong focus on practical, workable outcomes.
Chris is regularly engaged for leadership and performance coaching, complex workplace investigations, conflict resolution, restructures, employment documentation, and workplace culture and people strategy.
Chris will:
- Frame the session and provide practical HR context
- Connect insights to real‑world workplace scenarios
- Facilitate a focused Q&A with participants
- Share reflections drawn from his work across NZ organisations
- Seek participant input to help frame future online HR Connect opportunities
Julie Gill – CEO, Best Places to Work™
Julie Gill is the CEO of Best Places to Work™, partnering with organisations across Aotearoa to benchmark and strengthen employee experience and leadership impact.
