ExportNZ ASB Hawke’s Bay Export Awards 2025
The ExportNZ ASB Hawke’s Bay Export Awards is returning in 2025 to celebrate the successes of local businesses on the world stage. Now in its 11th year, the Export Awards is a celebration of outstanding exporters in the Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne region and their contribution to the wider economy.
These awards are a recognition of the incredible mahi of exporters across the Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay region, who continue to deliver excellence in spite of several challenging years. They also provide an opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing among exporters and other businesses in the export eco system.
A new category has been added this year, the NZME Service to Export Award, which is nominations based and recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the export industry. The awards are a great way to not only celebrate businesses making their way on the world stage but to also acknowledge the people who make a real difference to the export community.
Gather your team and celebrate the milestones you’ve reached and take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and commitment driving the success of your business.
From Dannevirke to Gisborne, including Tairāwhiti, we invite you to join us in celebrating a decade of export excellence in Hawke’s Bay.

A word from one of last year’s winners
"Winning the prestigious ASB Exporter of the Year Award in 2024 was an incredible achievement for the entire team at ZIWI. It’s a powerful recognition of the hard work, innovation and resilience that defines our business — especially after the temporary loss of our Awatoto Super Kitchen following Cyclone Gabrielle.
The devastating floods disrupted not only our production but also created significant challenges in our global markets. Maintaining supply, protecting our hard-earned shelf space and continuing to build demand in more than 30 markets required agility, strong partnerships and an unwavering commitment to our customers and pet parents around the world.
This award also highlights the global demand for high-quality, ethically sourced products from New Zealand. At ZIWI, we are proud to champion NZ-made, from free-range meat, sustainably-sourced seafood and green mussels to our world-leading Air-dried technology — all crafted right here in New Zealand. It’s this combination of natural abundance and innovation that sets both New Zealand exporters and ZIWI apart.
As we look to the future, we’re excited to see the next wave of exporters celebrated for their excellence. We will also continue to play our part to showcase New Zealand’s leadership in premium nutrition, sustainability and innovation on the global stage“.
